Deargina hair and boutique 604-625278 | Government Grant Application

Deargina hair and boutique | Application Preview

The government grant application from Deargina Hair and Boutique outlines plans to establish a homecare business that focuses on caring for elderly clients in their homes. The funding will initially support the hiring of 10 employees, with plans to expand to 25 employees within two years, 50 employees within four years, and potentially 80 employees within five years, depending on client demand.

The business strategy includes outreach to hospitals, nursing homes, and churches to promote services. There are plans for local advertising through flyers and word-of-mouth marketing, starting with a launch event for friends and family.

The application emphasizes the stability of the homecare industry, noting that it operates year-round and is increasingly in demand due to the aging Baby Boomer population preferring to age in place. It also highlights the cost savings for the government by reducing the need for nursing home placements.

While acknowledging the presence of competitors in the homecare market, the applicant believes her extensive nursing experience of over 28 years gives her a competitive advantage in providing superior care. The application stresses that the quality of care offered by a nurse far exceeds that of a typical caregiver, positioning the business as a preferred choice in the home health sector.

  • Funding Usage

I will use the funding to start a homecare business, where I will be able to take care of elderly Clients in their homes.

  • Business Plan

With fund at hand, will start with 10 employees in my county. In two years , we will be able to have 25 employees serving greater parts of Snohomish. In four years we will have 50 employees serving some parts of King County. In five years, we will have 80 employees depending on the numbers of our Clients. Having worked as a Nurse, I will go to hospitals, and nursing homes , and leave my business cards and flyers for discharge planners. Also advertise in churches bulletin boards. Throw a party for friends and family and introduce my home care business. Word of mouth spreads like wild fire. Also go to local libraries and leave my flayers. Home care business is not a seasonal business. It operates all year round. More Baby boomers are retiring and wish to stay in their homes. The Government saves more money by going through home health than placing them in the Nursing Homes. Hospitals would rather send them home to home health care agency. Investors should invest in me because home healthcare business has no shortage of Clients, therefore has no depreciation.

  • Self Identified Competition

My competitors other home care agencies doing same business ,but I have an edge over majority of them. I know for sure that 90% of the operators of the business are not Nurses. My Clients will benefit more from my care because I have been a Nurse in the State of Washington for more than 28 years. The quality of care between a nurse and a caregiver is not the same.
