Funding Usage
I currently own a Commercial building, Zoned Industrial, and consist of 90,000 square feet located at 1301 Broadway, Altoona, PA 16601, Blair County. The building is currently empty and in need of major renovations. I would like to repurpose the facility into low income housing which is in great need in Blair County. There is a Bus Stop currently located right in front of the facility giving the future tenants access to grocery stores, retail shopping, banking, etc. Also, the facility is within walking distance of a strip mall , and numerous dining options.

Business Plan
If I would receive the initial grant, Phase 1, I would use that funding to builld 30 low income efficientcy apartments. Phase 2, I would use the rental income from phase 1 apartments to build 30 more low income apartments. This project will create several full time jobs consisting of Building Maintenance, Sectraterial Services, and Property Maintenance. Investers and grant writers should invest in my Corporation because I'm going to fullfill a damanding need of Low-Income apartments for Blair County citizens. There is currently 53 Blair County citizens living in Motel rooms through out the area. Also, this project will create several full time jobs.

Self Identified Competition
1. Fiore's Builders - Huge company employing over a hundred employees. 2. Durbin Construction - Has over 60 student housing apartments located in my immediate area. 3. Lawruk Builders - Has over 100 apartments in Blair County. What makes me different from my competitors is that they are already established and are not in need of any Grant funding. I need the Grant Funding to get my project started. As I stated earlier in the application, my facility is currently empty. The facility was empty when I purchased it in 2018. I spent all of my personal cash putting in new sidewalks, curbs, trees, storm water retension, etc. as directed by the City of Altoona. I had to complete this step to obtain any future Building Permits.
