Hank's Affordable Solutions 604-790-110 | Government Grant Application

Hank's Affordable Solutions | Application Preview

Hank's Affordable Solutions is seeking government grant funding to expand its business, specifically focusing on roof rejuvenation. This approach aims to extend the lifespan of roofs and reduce landfill waste. The business plan outlines a clear growth trajectory: in the first year, Hank will operate solo; in the second year, he plans to hire a crew of two. By the third year, he intends to add more crews along with office and sales personnel. The fourth year will focus on maintaining operations and saving for future investments, while the fifth year will explore expansion into new areas.

Hank's qualifications include extensive experience in roof rejuvenation and a successful sales background in the industry. Currently, he generates significant revenue through a side business while maintaining full-time employment. He aims to transition to full-time entrepreneurship, leveraging his experience and current opportunity in the market.

The competitive landscape reveals that traditional roofing contractors primarily favor roof replacement rather than rejuvenation. Hank's service offers a more cost-effective solution, with rejuvenation priced significantly lower than replacement. His competitive advantage comes from the exclusive rights to service specific territories, which contain populations of at least 100,000 people, ensuring minimal competition outside of roofing companies.

  • Funding Usage

I will use the money to expand my business and focus on roof rejuvenation, this will help people make their roof last longer instead of it going to the landfill.

  • Business Plan

Instead of scrambling around doing several different things I want to grow my business and focus on roof rejuvenation. First year I will do this myself, second year I will hire a crew of 2 to perform the work, third year I will hire 2 more crews and an office person and 2 sales persons, fourth year maintain 3rd year expectations and save money to invest, fifth year invest and consider more growth to a new area I already have experience rejuvenating roofs, I have years of sales experience in the field I am wanting to expand in, I currently rejuvenate roofs (I have a full time job on top of having a business) I want to break away and do this on my own terms. I currently sell up to 60k per month in roof rejuvenation for the company I am working for on the side and I have the opportunity to have my own business

  • Self Identified Competition

The only competitors are roofing contractors and the only want to replace the roof instead of rejuvenate it. The cost to replace a roof by a reputable contractor right now is $6-$9 per foot whereas the cost to rejuvenate a roof costs $1-$1.50 per foot. There really is no competition for the service I provide Once assigned a territory I would be the only one allowed to service that territory, each territory has no less than 100,000 people spread out through several zip codes. Aside from roofing companies I would have no competition
