Business Plan
- additional space will allow us to offer more classes and double our capabilities for private instruction, trainings and massage, which are our main income drivers - renting space to other likeminded businesses will not only bring in income, but build community in our neighborhood and also drive more foot traffic for One Point One students to have an entrée into our offerings. We have a proven record of driving income and in costing through not only the last seven years, but through a pandemic when more than half of the nations fitness industries folded, as well as through my cancer diagnosis, surgeries and recoveries. We have innovated the way fitness and yoga businesses care for their workers by shifting our model away from paying independent contractors to teach (which 95% of studios do) to offering employment and benefits to our teachers and giving them stability and investment in their work. We have several streams of income, and the opportunity to build this new home will bring in even more of those avenues for income. We have become a mainstay in a growing neighborhood, bringing in money and steady foot traffic to the Friendship neighborhood and supporting other businesses in our community. We donate and support our local non-profits and firmly believe that by creating spaces for women, minority, disabled and LGBTQ business owners to find their own success, we will bring this neighborhood and community to a new level.

Self Identified Competition
No other local yoga studios operate in the way that we do, so competition is difficult to identify. Soul of Yoga in Encinitas, CA and Kula Yoga Project in Brooklyn are two sources of inspiration for our aspirations. We believe that by prioritizing the happiness and success of our employees, we will always run a successful business in the service industry. We focus on the health and well being of the entire person, offering not just yoga but other forms of fitness, private instruction, therapy, meditation, breath instruction, nutrition guidance and trainings for others to lead students with intelligence and intention.
