Xtra Alltra 221 | Government Grant Application

Xtra Alltra | Application Preview

Xtra Alltra is applying for government grants to support a local art and music festival aimed at benefiting artists directly. The funding will be used to ensure that participants receive fair compensation for their involvement, which in turn encourages more artistic expression in the community.

The business plan focuses on hosting multiple events that spotlight local artists, addressing a critical need for increased opportunities in the art scene. The applicant emphasizes a strong track record of organizing successful concerts and events over the past 20 years, demonstrating their experience and commitment to the local arts community.

Xtra Alltra faces competition from larger festivals like the Ladybug Festival, Firefly Music Festival, and Clifford Brown Jazz Festival, all of which are heavily funded by corporate sponsors but do not adequately support artists. This competition makes it difficult for local acts to earn fair pay and stifles the overall growth of the arts.

What sets Xtra Alltra apart is the founder's deep-rooted involvement in the local arts scene and a genuine commitment to nurturing creativity. Having experienced the struggles artists face, such as being underpaid and having to work side jobs, the applicant is dedicated to fostering more creative opportunities rather than prioritizing profit. The goal is to cultivate a vibrant artistic community that benefits artists and encourages their continued participation.

  • Funding Usage

To produce a local art and music festival to benefit the artists and only the artist to encourage more art by providing payments for participation in the event

  • Business Plan

By having more events and including more local artists. Because I have a proven track record of producing successful concerts and events and I have been involved in the local art scene for the past 20 years

  • Self Identified Competition

Gable music ventures ladybug festival, firefly music festival, Clifford brown jazz festival. All have huge corporate backing and never actually really benefit the artists. The competition for the local spots available for local acts that get paid next to nothing leads to less art and artists and more corporate profit and advertising, narrowing the field even further for the dying arts very quickly being taken over by AI. I have been actually a part of the local arts scene and have a stellar reputation in the local community and I have personally participated in the struggle where the actual artists can’t produce their art because they get paid lower than minimum wage for their vision and are forced to work low wage day jobs to get by leaving no time for art. I am not in it for profit, I actually love what I do and want to breed more creatives into the scene
