Sweet Southern Paws 923361757 | Government Grant Application

Sweet Southern Paws | Application Preview

Sweet Southern Paws is seeking government grant funding to expand its at-home pet care business. The funds will be used to purchase a metal building, kennel, and fencing, enabling the establishment of a doggie daycare in addition to current services. The business will also require extra supplies such as towels and cleaning products.

Operating for three years, Sweet Southern Paws has grown its client base significantly through word of mouth and strategic marketing efforts, such as business cards and signage. The owner collaborates with a local rescue organization, receiving referrals, and is involved in community events to further promote the business.

The primary objective for requesting funding is to create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pets in the area while their owners are away for vacations or emergencies. Clients appreciate the personalized attention and care provided, often choosing Sweet Southern Paws for weekend stays due to the owner's commitment to each pet.

Competitive threats include Ardy Macs Dog House, Adel Animal Hospital Boarding, and Bryan Kennels. Sweet Southern Paws differentiates itself by offering extensive playtime and individual attention to pets, fostering relationships with both animals and their owners.

Extra supplies that will be needed will be towels, paper towels and cleaning supplies.

  • Business Plan

I have business cards, a sign out in front of my house as well as word of mouth. I have been dog sitting for 3 years and have grown to more clients than I can handle right now. That is why I am looking to expand and obtain a building. I also help with a local rescue and they refer me to new adopters that they have. I receive calls daily from new clients. I will also participate in local gatherings in town and surrounding counties to promote my business. I want to offer my county and the surrounding counties a clean, safe, inviting environment for their pets to stay while they are on vacation, have family emergencies, or other reasons that someone may need to board their dogs. I have a number of clients that bring their pets to me to keep them for a weekend bc they will be busy with their children and they know that I take time with each pet. I give them attention, love and plenty of play time.

  • Self Identified Competition

    1. Ardy Macs Dog house 2.Adel Animal Hospital Boarding 3.Bryan Kennels I think I am different from my competitors because I offer a lot of play time and one on one time with the pets so that they do not have to be kenneled all day. I create a relationship with each pet as well as their owners.
