Vinland Enterprises | Application Preview
Vinland Enterprises is seeking government grants to secure the funding necessary for bidding on significant contracts that will advance their business. Currently, the business lacks the capital to make substantial progress.
Their primary focus within the next year is to establish a solid foundation, form partnerships, hone their negotiation skills, and navigate the challenges of a new business. The company is co-owned by two former Special Forces operators, motivated by personal experiences to support veterans and marginalized communities. They aim to create job opportunities for these groups over the next five years, emphasizing the importance of providing access to individuals who have been historically excluded due to ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or religion.
The founders believe their investment case is strong due to their commitment to empowering veterans and addressing discrimination, alongside addressing mental health issues, particularly veteran suicide. Their five-year plan includes the establishment of a foundation to support those struggling with mental illness. They assert that successful businesses should have a mission that extends beyond profit, contributing positively to the community.
As for competition, it is currently unclear who their direct competitors are, given their diverse range of products for the government and military. However, they acknowledge the existence of similar business models in the market.
What distinguishes Vinland Enterprises from others is their unique background, core values, and dedication. Their military training instilled a strong work ethic that they apply to their business objectives, along with a mission focused on aiding veterans and the broader community.

Business Plan
The next year is all about forming a sturdy foundation, establishing partnerships, perfecting the art of the deal and getting through the growing pains of owning a small business. Once we are comfortable with all of that the next phase is expansion. Our company is owned by two former Special forces operators who have had their military careers cut short due to service related injuries. For this reason, we have a passion for giving back to the veteran and other disenfranchised communities of people. Our goal is to create jobs for our community within the next five years while keeping in mind that some groups of people have been denied opportunities due to ethnicity/gender/sexuality/religion etc. While we believe in hiring the best person for the job, we also believe that some people deserve an opportunity to prove themselves in an environment they have historically been excluded from. With this in mind, we believe we can help out the local veteran community as well as the other groups mentioned. We believe we are worthy of investment because of many of our goals stated in our 5 year plan. We are going to grow this business with the goal of employing veterans and other groups of people who may have been discriminated against for various reasons. Some of our core values stem from personally losing our military brothers and sisters as well as loved ones in our own lives from mental health diseases. It is also within our 5 year plan to set up a foundation and community for people suffering from mental illness in our area with a strong emphasis on the veteran suicide crisis. All of these goals are not currently within our grasp considering we are a brand new business, but the business is in agreement that we will make them all happen. We believe in order for a business to be successful it has to stand for more than just profit. Investing in Vinland Enterprises is contributing to the betterment of our community as a whole. Whatever decision you come to, we thank you for this opportunity and hope the most deserving business receives funding.

Self Identified Competition
Truthfully, at this point it is uncertain. We provide a wide array of commodities to the government and military, and plan to keep expanding. This gives us the diversity needed to succeed in this fast paced modern business world. I am sure there are others out there with similar business models but we have yet to encounter them. What sets us aside from potential competitors and just in general is our background, values, mission and work ethic. We take the work ethic that was instilled in us during our time in navy special warfare to complete whatever mission or task we set our minds to. This combined with our purpose and goals to better our fellow veterans and community as a whole undoubtably gives us an edge.
