Prana Haircare Studio LLC | Application Preview

Prana Haircare Studio LLC is seeking government funding to enhance its operations by paying off existing business debts, fully stocking its color bar, and undertaking a much-needed remodel. The salon has shown consistent growth, with annual income increasing by at least $15,000 and the owner managing to maintain a healthy work-life balance by only working four days a week. There is a clear potential for increased revenue by opening an additional day.

The salon serves a unique niche, being the sole provider of natural hair services in its locale, making it a trusted destination for clients—even those who travel two hours for their appointments. The owner emphasizes a strong commitment to client education and satisfaction, often going beyond hairstyling to provide a relaxing and informative experience. This dedication is reflected in the high level of service offered, which not only meets but exceeds client expectations.

The funding would significantly contribute to creating a welcoming and upscale environment that aligns with the high standard of service provided, enhancing client comfort and experience. The owner expresses confidence in the business's continued growth and stability, believing that the investment will help solidify its standing in the community and foster long-term client relationships.

  • Business Plan

My business is thriving and each year my gross income has increased my at least 15000. I only work 4 days a week to maintain work life balance but I am sure opening even one more day would increase my income. I will continue to invest in marketing, maintain communication with my clients and providing stellar service. I am the only hairstylist and salon in my city and surrounding areas that cater to natural hair as well as cutting curly hair. I do not forsee my business slowing down. I believe that I already have the momentum and the clientele to thrive until I retire even if I were to stop accepting new clients. I am always investing my time with my clients and my services go beyond hair and that is one thing that my clients mention. They enjoy coming in a just being able to relax. This investment will aid me in being able to not only give a relaxing and high end service but to also have a space that reflects that. As a new business I have but that off because this face-lift was more of a want that a need. The more my business grows I want my clients and anyone that enters the salon to know that their comfort is the utmost importance to me. The experience reflects that I would just like for my space to reflect that as well.

  • Self Identified Competition

In my town I do not have any competition when it comes to the service I specialize in which is Natural Hair. I have clients that drive 2 hours to have their hair done by me because there isn't anyone else they trust. My business is different because I specialize in Natural hair in a town where there is no one else that has the patience for it. Although I specialize in natural hair I have a very diverse clientele with a multitude of hair textures. My clients are always amazed at how well versed I am in their hair when meeting them for the first time. I am also not afraid to educate my clients on their hair. Most stylists will just style the hair and not educate their clients on how to maintain their hair home and inbetween visits. I have had some new clients come in a little nervous because they have had bad experience with other hairstylists in the past but as soon as I start to speak to them and ask them certain questions about their hair and hair goals they instantly relax and know they are in good hands. I constantly hear that no one had ever taken the time to educate them or tell them how working together will help us get to their hair goals. Even in cosmetology school I was the one that everyone knew could handle anyone's hair. I never wanted to limit my education or technique and so grateful that I had an instructor who didn't limit me or allow me to limit myself
