D and C Transport Service 88-3256386 | Government Grant Application

D and C Transport Service | Application Preview

D and C Transport Service is seeking government grants to expand its operations by acquiring additional trucks. The funds will be used primarily to pay off an existing truck valued at $12,000 and to facilitate the purchase of more vehicles, ultimately boosting revenue.

The business plan focuses on enhancing profitability by managing expenses, particularly truck payments and fuel costs. By paying off two trucks, the company anticipates saving $30,000 annually. Additionally, the use of Pilot fuel will lower gas expenses by 70 cents per gallon, and the rewards program can lead to significant savings on fuel, amounting to approximately $14,400 per year. This approach aims to enable the company to grow its fleet steadily, adding a truck every 1.5 to 2 years and increasing revenue potential.

The owner emphasizes their commitment, integrity, and strong work ethic as compelling reasons for funding approval. They have a background in business and accounting, which informs their management strategies. Starting as an LLC in 2021 and entering the trucking industry in 2022, the owner recognizes the growth potential within the sector.

In terms of competition, the owner acknowledges major players like Total Quality Industries, Landstar, and Werner Enterprises. However, they view these competitors as motivation, reflecting on how every company started with just one truck. The competitive edge lies in the desire to positively impact employees' lives, providing opportunities for them to build generational wealth, thereby fostering a supportive and thriving work environment.

  • Business Plan

My plan for growth is to reduce the cost of my expenses such as the truck payments and gas and increase the profit margin. With two trucks being paid off I will be able to save roughly $30000 a year just from truck payments and reduce the cost of gas with pilot fuel by receiving 70 cents off the gallon for fuel. Also, pilot offers rewards and points for consumers who have fleets(2 or more trucks) and there point program allows free fuel for customers that fuel 1500 gallons per month and my average with one truck is 1800-2000 gallons per month. With this plan, I will be able to save at least 3 to 4 fill ups per month totaling $1200 per month and $14,400 per year increasing the odds of managing a bigger fleet. Within every 1 1/2 to 2 years a new truck will be able to be added to the fleet streaming a bigger revenue. Moving on to drivers, each driver is compensated with a capped $50,000 salary with each truck bringing in $150,000 - $240,000 a year which is $15,000 to $20,000 per month. I only pay myself $500 a week which is $2000 a month to give myself financial coverage for any liabilities that may happen along the way. Integrity, dedication, motivation, and my work ethic are all the reason an investor should invest into me. I'm human like everyone else but, when it comes to my craft, I'm a robot and will put everything I have into it. When there's knowledge needed to be learned I research, when there is teaching needed to be taught I instruct or listen, and when there is a chance of creating generational wealth for not only me but, my family, I'm dedicated and committed to the journey. I started college not knowing what I wanted to do and received my associates in business and bachelors in accounting at the University of Grantham in Kansas. My family wanted me to get a career working in corporate america. Although, that was a good plan I started my LLC in December of 2021 and trucking business in the year of 2022 to create and build something of my own. I realized the transportation industry was a billion dollar market that was only gonna get bigger over the years to come and that I will be able to achieve my craft in a growing industry.

  • Self Identified Competition

In the transportation industry everyone is your competitor no matter how big or small but, the top 3 main competitors are Total quality industries, Landstar, and Werner Enterprises. All three companies have been established for more than a decade and are considered to be multi-mill and multi-bill corporations. This motivates me more than just competing because the one thing we all have in common is we all started with 1 truck. So when I look at these companies it motivates me to work harder to achieve what they already have. The real competition sometimes can be yourself, and how hard your willing to work day after day My competitors and I are similar in a lot of ways but, I believe I'm different from them because I want to change the lives around me. Not speaking from a personal perspective but my future employees as well. I want to give someone the same opportunity that could be given to me if I receive this grant. Once I get to the financial level I want to be at, I want to invest into my own employees that have the same ambition and dream as me so they could have the chance to change the lives around them as well and create generational wealth for their families also.
