As the demand increases an expansion and additional lactation professionals may be needed to keep up with the company’s demand. The Breast Choice also plans to offer digital breastfeeding courses. The Breast Choice Lactation would also acquire an office setting that would allow increased productivity and increase the number of clients per week. There are only 33,000 IBCLCs in the world and 19,218 IBCLCs in the United States. Detailed Description of Customers Targeted audience: expectant and postpartum nursing parents, pediatricians, midwives, doulas, chiropractors, and pediatric dentists. In 2020, there were 36,114 live births in Dallas County. The population of women of childbearing age (ages 15-44) in Dallas County in 2020 was estimated to be 577,952. The fertility rate in Dallas County in 2020 was 62.5 per 1,000 women ages 15-44 (March of Dimes) Company Advantages I am a registered nurse and internationally board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) with ongoing continuing education providing evidenced-based collaborative support. The industry is still developing, and the Southern Dallas area has limited IBCLCs available. The Breast Choice is credentialed with BCBC of TX, one of only two IBCLC companies in the DFW area.

Self Identified Competition
Other IBCLC and lactation professionals (CLC, CBC etc) in DFW and social media. IBCLC is the gold standard in the lactation community and takes longer to acquire so this is to my advantage. I am also in network currently with UHC and BCBS of texas (only 2-3 in-network providers in the metroplex)
