Bailiwick will continue to develop and offer more home decor elements to appeal to a wider market. Currently, 3-4 sculptural candle options and jesmonite sculptures will be offered, but that will be expanded to include custom wall art, and other decor. Certain decor elements will cater to men and women separately. Within 2years, Bailiwick will expand to involve commercial services that allow for offsite product storage and shipping. Based on demand and growth, within 2 years, part-time employees may be engaged to help with shipping and package needs and to provide additional coverage at local market events. Social media will be the primary marketing tool to reach new customers and branding/packaging will develop overtime to show a polished, and thoroughly quality product. Customer experience is key and branding/packaging will be part of that hands-off strategy and experience. Bailiwick is a very specific decor option that appeals to minorities wanting to incorporate beautiful representation in their homes. There are no local competitors in the Charlotte market. My product has no competitors, so investing will be to help grow and develop a niche product catering to a large target market. There are several generic candle makers and companies in the Charlotte market, none offering African American sculptures that are hand crafted. Currently, 35.2% of Charlotte is African-American, and 51% of Charlotte is female. Those demographics are the target for Bailiwick and within the market, there are no competitors that offer the same local, unique product.
