Funding Usage
would like to pay off the fence we put up for boarding, the grooming area needs a complete remodel, and i desperately need supplies. my business can bring in over 200+ a day if i can get the supplies i need to make the accommodations. eventually i would like to move the business out of my home and into a bigger facility and be able to offer jobs to locals. It has potential, if i just had what i needed to take in all the business.

Business Plan
i have started my business off extremely small, mostly just to see if it had the potential to take off. As of now i have more business calling, then I have the ability to take it because of much needed funding to grow the space and acquire supplies. Now that i am seeing the ability to be successful, i am reaching out for help with funding. Once I can finish setting up the shop, I plan to continue single-handedly running the business until my clientel base is built, and I can confidently open a facility in the beckley area, and offer more jobs to the locals. I am a 31 year old single mom, this business will be woman owned and operated, and hopefully empowering to other women in the area in the future. My goal, is to make pet owning easier for people. The dog crisis around here is bad, and i feel if keeping and maintaining dogs was made easier to the public it would also help out with the issues we have with over population and lack of adoption. My business doesnt just offer grooming services, but also boarding and day care, so busy people or people who travel, have an option for a safe place to keep their pets, who otherwise would feel like they couldnt adopt or keep them. In the future, when the business grows, i would also like to do fundraisers for the animal shelter, and educate the public on how to help our community maintain animal control, and how they can contribute to rescues, shelters, and other organizations that will help with the animal crisis.

Self Identified Competition
It is hard to label any of the local groomers as competitors. Theres not that many of us, and most of us are friends and actually reach out to one another for tips and help. Most other groomer facilities are not taking any more clients, theyre over run, opening up another facility like mine just gives the people who can not get in those places, another opportunity for a place to go. What set me apart from my competitors though is, my day care and boarding. That is not a service that is offered in beckley, by someone other then vets offices who keeps the dogs in cages and top dog, whom only takes small dogs. People want their animals to feel comfortable and at home, which is why i appeal to them, as i am currently home based, and will continue to keep an at home feeling as my business grows and moves. My grooming competitors would be the local pet stores, and other small businesses such as scissor hands. Scissor hands is not taking any more clients, and alot of the locals would prefer supporting a small business and have a one on one relationship with the business they choose then using these large chains when it comes to their pets, as it makes them more comfortable knowing the hands that theyre in. please see the above statement
