Parker Rock 'n' Dirt is applying for government grants to support the purchase of essential equipment and to enhance its operational capabilities. The funding breakdown includes $60,000 for a dump truck, $20,000 for an equipment trailer, $34,000 for a Cat 315 track hoe, $60,000 for an Engcon unit, and $28,000 for a Cat 259D Skid Steer. The remaining funds will be allocated for working capital, covering materials, employee wages, office upgrades, and supplies.
The business plan outlines a transition to full-time operations in Spring 2021, targeting growth in the commercial and environmental sectors of the excavating industry. With a successful track record of $150,000 in part-time revenue, Parker Rock 'n' Dirt anticipates reaching $2,500,000 in revenue by its fifth year. They have already secured $250,000 in contracts for 2021 and are negotiating an additional $300,000.
The company emphasizes its commitment to proceeding with or without the grant, stating that the funding will help them secure more commercial contracts and invest back into the business and the community. They acknowledge their competition, including RJT Excavating, DJ Grading, and Cota Excavating, but believe their family-oriented values and strong communication will set them apart. Parker Rock 'n' Dirt aims to foster a sense of community and trust among clients and employees while incorporating technology to minimize errors and streamline operations.

Business Plan
With the equipment from the funding we will bid more commercial and work with the environmental side of the excavating world. We will be going full-time in Spring 2021. We have generated $150,000 doing part-time work. Our wide knowledge and experience will drive this business to a $2,500,000 by our 5th year. We already have over $250,000 contracts of work for 2021, and over $300,000 in contract negotiations. We are going to do this with or without the funding. The funding will give us the jump start to bid more commercial and get a contract with an environmental company and put more money back into the business and community.

Self Identified Competition
RJT Excavating DJ Grading Cota Excavating This company is built on family values! We want anyone involved in this company to feel the family atmosphere from our soon to be employees to our clients. Communication is the key for professional relationships to grow. Clients, developers, contractors just need to know what is going on and how they are going to be taken care of. It seems too simple, but from our experience that is what is needed in this industry. We also are going to incorporate technology to aid in preventing human error and to speed up production and lower overhead cost.
