Gladiator trucking I'm not sure | Government Grant Application

Gladiator trucking | Application Preview

Gladiator Trucking is seeking government grants to address financial challenges and expand its operations. The funds will be used to cover overdue expenses, pay off existing trailer loans, and establish an independent carrier service, projected to increase gross revenue by 17% initially, scaling to 25%. With more than $30,000, the business plans to acquire additional trucks and trailers or manage existing loans.

The business strategy involves launching its own carrier unit to eliminate intermediary costs. Gladiator Trucking already has a partnership with a dispatch service for 8% of gross revenue and aims to lease additional owner-operators, charging them 25% in return for dispatch services. Currently, the company operates three vehicles, with plans to lease seven more, potentially generating approximately $5,000 per month for each lease. Future plans may focus on leasing solely to owner-operators or subcontracting.

The applicant highlights their service in the Navy and subsequent experience in transportation as valuable assets. After encountering setbacks, they obtained an IT degree and successfully rebuilt their credit. With over three years of industry experience since returning to transportation, the applicant is committed to pursuing their passion and aims to establish a reputable carrier service.

In terms of competition, Gladiator Trucking recognizes top players like A2C Logistics Company, ACME Truck Line, and CKJ Transport Company, but notes that many profitable companies exist in a vast market with ongoing demand.

The business’s competitive advantages include military discipline, strong motivation, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, positioning it to outperform rivals in the industry.

  • Funding Usage

I plan on getting caught up on expenses. Paying off trailer loans, creating my own carrier service which will increase gross by 17% at first and then 25%. And having a cushion for unexpected repairs and expenses. If I had more then $30,000 I would expand and buy more trucks and trailers or just pay off the ones I already have

  • Business Plan

I plan on opening my own carrier service eliminating the middle man. This will increase gross by 17% to 25%. The carrier service I already use has agreed to dispatch for me for 8% of gross. I also plan on leasing on other owner operators charging 25% to be their carrier service and dispatch. I currently own 3 transport vehicles. I plan on leasing on 7 more which will be charged 25% which will gross approximately $5000 a month on each of the 7 leases. And eventually only leasing on owner operators or continue leasing my transport vehicles to sub contractors. I served in the navy for 5 years. After getting out I started working for a transportation company. Without knowing much about the industry I invested into my own business. After an accident occurred I was unable to work and lost my high credit score and my company. I decided to go to college and I earned a degree in "IT" and was able to recover my credit score. For the last 3 years I've been back in transportation and I know more about this industry then I did before. I've been pursuing this dream since 2012. With a small break in between for college and to recover from a loss. This is my passion, I want to do this for the rest of my life. I want to be one of the best carrier services in the market. I intend to make a name for myself.

  • Self Identified Competition

A2C Logistics Company, ACME Truck Line, CKJ Transport Company. These 3 are the top hot shot companies in the USA. But there are thousands of companies out there that are profitable. There is a huge market for this industry and there will always be a need for it. The difference between them and I is that I have military experience and I'm dedicated, down right motivated, my attention to detail is unbeatable, I am willing to go the extra mile to out perform any competition that stands in my way.
