Tulsa Party Bus LLC pending | Government Grant Application

Tulsa Party Bus LLC | Application Preview

Tulsa Party Bus LLC is seeking government grants primarily to fund repairs for their bus, which requires a new motor. The grant would also help cover storage fees and support marketing efforts to boost business visibility. Additionally, the company has plans to provide free transportation for underprivileged children to help them attend school and extracurricular events, addressing a crucial community need.

The initial focus of the business is on renting the party bus for various events, but the owner envisions expanding services to specifically cater to youth transportation, leveraging their background in athletics to make a positive impact on disadvantaged youth. The owner highlights the struggles faced during the COVID-19 pandemic as a setback for the entertainment sector, explaining that they need financial support to establish a sustainable revenue stream and start giving back to the community.

In terms of competition, the owner identifies several rivals, including Party Express Bus, The Main Event Party Bus, and Game On Party Truck, each with their own operational strengths and target markets. Party Express Bus operates multiple vehicles and targets several cities, while The Main Event Party Bus has lower rates but fewer buses. Game On Party Truck focuses on gamers, limiting its audience.

Tulsa Party Bus LLC believes their competitive advantage lies in their local roots and extensive experience in the Tulsa area, allowing them to better understand customer needs. They previously had successful advertising partnerships with local businesses and aim to continue serving the community. However, they emphasize the need for assistance to overcome current challenges and expand their vision.

  • Funding Usage

The majority of the funding would go for repairs on the bus. Its motor went out and needs repaired or replaced. It would also go towards storage fees to park the bus when it is not in use. I would also need to advertise my business in order to make a profit. I also am planning on giving free rides to underprivileged kids to extracurricular, school, or sporting events.

  • Business Plan

Initially my plans are to just run the party bus business as a rental bus for groups or events. However I would like to grow the business into transporting underprivileged youth to and from sporting, school, or extracurricular events. I have been in athletics for my entire adulthood and could see this venture going in this direction. There is a need for some type of transportation to these events in order to help more minor youths and youths in poverty from turning down the wrong paths. I feel that the entertainment business was hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic. I had all of the pieces I needed to be successful but social gatherings were all of a sudden banned therefore my business was sunk before it started. I have greater plans in the future for my business and I need to have some revenue before I can begin giving back to my community.

  • Self Identified Competition

One of my top competitors is Party Express Bus. They have 5 buses in service and advertise to 3 major cities in multiple adjoining states. Their rates are comparable and they are also in their first year of business. The Main Event Party Bus is another competitor. They only run 2 buses but they have been in business since 2018. They advertise at a cheaper rate than we are able to. Game On Party Truck is a third competitor. They have been in business since 2017 but they only cater to a certain clientele, video gamers. They advertise a wide variety of available games but again they don't reach as many different entertainment avenues. It is about a hundred less to rent than what I am able to operate at. We are a Tulsa raised business that has worked in Tulsa for 20+ years. We know what Tulsa needs and what would encourage them to use our services. We had advertisements with local bars and restaurants before COVID-19 closed everything down. We want to continue to serve Tulsans old and young. We just need help.
