evolve beauty academy 82-4891507 | Government Grant Application

evolve beauty academy | Application Preview

Evolve Beauty Academy is seeking government grants to manage financial challenges stemming from moving and taking over the business. The funding will be used to pay off debts and provide working capital to cover rent and bills during a period of illness.

The academy's business plan includes plans for expansion to a second location once profitability is achieved. The owner is dedicated to helping individuals, particularly young women, gain education and skills to support themselves, as many of the students face economic hardships that prevent them from attending traditional college.

Evolve Beauty Academy competes with larger institutions like Grabber School of Hair Design, Paul Mitchell St. Louis, and Crave Beauty Academy. However, its competitive edge lies in its smaller class size of 13 students, allowing for a more personalized and hands-on education. The owner emphasizes the importance of individualized learning and a genuine connection with students, contrasting with the profit-driven approach of larger schools. The focus on quality education and student support is central to the academy's mission.

  • Business Plan

If I am able to start making a profit I will want to open a second location so that I can help more people get an education. I took over this beauty school 2 years ago because I want to help people be able to support themselves with a career. Most of my students cannot devote 2-4 years to college due to economic hardships or the responsibilities of children. I love what I do and I know that I am helping people (mostly young women) achieve a life where they are not dependent on someone else to pay their bills.

  • Self Identified Competition

Grabber School of Hair Design Paul Mitchel St Louis Crave Beauty Academy All of my competitors are large schools, they have 60-150 students. I have 13 students, I will never have a large number of students for a few reasons. I feel like my students would not get as good of an education if I had more students. A strong education for every learner is very important to me, I like to have a personalized approach for every student. I also love what I do, most school owners are in it for money, they dont get in with their students and teach them and work beside them. If I were to grow my school over 50 students I would not be able to be as hands on.
