Business Plan
My Five year plan to grow my business is a plan based on these critical points- Sustainability, networking & advertising, investments, quality control, Consistency, personal and public relationship, persistence organization, and intention. Public & personal relationships are the key to a successful music career, and actually any career. In order to connect with those who I know I can help support & those who can help support my business, its vital that I have the funding, supplies, Equipment, advertising funds, subscriptions, memberships, travel funding, and networking capabilities to advertise my music, skills, and my business intentions as a whole. music is literally marketing. The problem is having the funds to receive a reliable ROI (return of investments) due to the expenses I or we as independent musicians are dealt with. In order to grow my business as a full-time creative musician, I have to create a consistent, sustainable, income based, relatable, reliable & marketable space that allows me to be involve within my craft/business as a musician completely. Every second counts when it comes to music, because the world of music changes everyday. You have to be consistent in order to improve your business and career. I believe in The ROI (return of investments). I have proven to myself, media production companies, studios, big corporate companies, people and more that investing in my talent/ abilities is a great return of investment. My goal as a individual before and as a business is to always create more job opportunities and streams of income for myself, those who I work with, plan to work with, and those who believe in investing in what I am investing in.. The opportunity. I believe in persistence. I believe in working. I believe in investing into an opportunity that can create more opportunities for yourself and others. Most importantly I believe in value. I've pushed and fell to create my experience to be a full-time musician, since I started clocking into a 9-5. The trial and error is vast, but I realized in order to overcome you have to take chances and invest in more than just you. By doing that I have been able to succeed into creating a small creative business of my own to be of service to others, but to also create sustainability for my career as a record producing artist. The investment would not only help me invest in my career as an independent artist, but it would allow me to create a better and sustainable business. It would help create support for the future of the music business, and assistance to help minorities, and entrepreneurs in my shoes as creatives for job opportunities, and it would allow me to invest in creating high quality product (music).

Self Identified Competition
* Independent artist- Being an independent artist myself which puts me in the same boat as those who are independent as well. Even though we are riding the same boat, our intentions and ideas are different. *Label artist- Who have an infinite amount of resources, supplies, and funding to create quality work. This makes independent musicians like myself become a deficient. With no initial funding backing my plan or business, I become obsolete. * Out of state artist- Without the proper networking artist/ musicians like myself who can easily complete the jobs that local companies & corporate companies in the local areas outsource for ultimately become engulfed in the shadows or behind the scenes. A lot of times these situations could go vastly smoother (expense and time wise) for the companies using out of town-state acts. In order for this to be possible, the networking and communication has to improve. I believe as an independent artist with a motive to create this, has the ability to do so. I believe I can create this for my business. In my position, it's not what makes me different than my competitors, but its what makes us the same. Since day one I have been persistence with intention, and committed to the result. As a minority, well educated, young black male and entrepreneur, creating better habits and exemplifying them through my creativity has been my #1 support. I also had the opportunity to do a hip hop jingle/internet commercial with Procter & Gamble for the brand Safeguard-Soap, that surprisingly went SUPER viral on Internet media, and internet news. The commercial advertised, and promoted immediate health awareness. Following CDC regulations to clean your hands for 20 seconds, interacting with family and friends to join in the fun as well. Main objective- advertise health, awareness, music, support, and keeping germs away! During the beginning of Covid-19 and quarantine forcing us all to stay lock in our homes, this commercial/song not only brought people, family, and friends together, it also aloud myself as a musician to touch the hearts of those in need, and those who love music. The commercial went super viral on Tik-Tok as a call to action challenge called #safeguardsplash, but eventually grew on all social media platforms! It was even broadcasted on Good-Morning America, which was a blessing. Creating the mindset itself has earned me revenue through my music career, and created sustainable opportunities for my future. The habits plus persistence, plus practice & creativity has become my income. All of this allows me to navigate how I sell my music, time, work, and merchandise to and who I sell it too as well. I have succeeded in being able to become independent as far as jobs that are usually sought out through others to accomplish like, engineering music, recording, mixing, songwriting, creative writing, curating, communicating, and promoting, creating visuals, video editing, and etc! Though it would be much easier to reach out to others, it would also be much more expensive as music creativity for independent artist is very expensive. I was taught to be in the business you have to be the business, and with persistence, commitment, and intention, I have been able to set myself in a space of few who have the opportunity to succeed!
