Loc is seeking government grant funding to support community-building events in Atlanta. Since moving to Georgia two and a half years ago, the founder, Caira, has leveraged her substantial social media presence to create meaningful gatherings that foster connection and joy among participants. These events prioritize love, energy, and safety, reflecting a commitment to creating a wholesome environment.
From humble beginnings with just nine attendees, the events have grown to draw as many as 250 participants. The upcoming anniversary celebration aims to invite even more community members, and funding is sought to reduce or eliminate ticket costs, making the event accessible to all. The funds will specifically cover venue rental, entertainment, and educational speakers.
Caira envisions significant growth over the next five years, projecting an increase in attendance to around 700 people for future outdoor events. Plans also include expanding the brand to incorporate merchandise, such as hair care products and clothing, while further enhancing marketing efforts.
Caira emphasizes her authentic passion for fostering safe spaces filled with love and energy, particularly as a single minority woman. The support she has garnered from the community reinforces her commitment to making a positive impact in Atlanta. She believes the unique focus on community connection rather than commercial aspects distinguishes her efforts from other event planning businesses, which often overlook the personal touch that comes from prioritizing relationships over profits. With a vision to grow her team and expand the reach of her mission, Caira articulates a clear need for support in achieving these goals.

Funding Usage
To whom it may concern, thank you so much for taking me into consideration. I plan to use the funding to continue to bring my community together. I moved to Georgia about 2.5 years ago with no family here. I have been building my social media platforms since 2017, with over 35K on instagram. With that being said I knew I could turn to my virtual loc family to celebrate my birthday with last year. I have been hosting events here in Atlanta for the community to come together. Seeing the peace and people make new friends brings such a joy to my heart that I can't even begin to express. These events have been so wholesome and so fulfilling for us. This is not just the average party/event service. Being in an environment that strives on love, energy, and safety is our priority! We grew from the first event being 9 people, now to the most recent, event #4 being 250 people! I am hosting our one year anniversary event at the very end of September, on the 30th. I have started the process of securing a rooftop venue. The funding will be used to help lower ticket prices or even get rid of them completely to offer a free celebration! It's not about the money for me at the moment, it's about the experience. However, events are not cheap. I am seeking funding for venue rental, misc entertainment and educational speakers. Please consider me for funding as I am making a huge impact in my community. I am very passionate and driven to leave people with an experience they will never forget. Thank you!

Business Plan
In the next 5 years, our business will grow exponentially! The first event started at 9 people, now we have reached 250. We will utilize community, support, and marketing to expand. Our social media was just started a couple months ago and is almost to 10,000 followers already! The visuals of the events strongly speak for themselves and people are extremely vocal about wanting to be apart, even the people outside of the loc community. We are accepting of all. We will also be expanding into merchandise for the brand including hair care products and clothing. By this time next year, I am projecting our next outside event to be at least 700 people based on previous ticket sales and demand. So we are on our way to festival style events! This will include vendors, collaborations, and plenty of promo to help grow the business. The events range anywhere from dinners, to backyard painting and games, to rooftop mixers, to cabin trips. Another big this is, a plan to grow my team. I am a team of one right now with so much heart, drive, and determination to make things happen. But I KNOW I can't do everything alone, so finding a trustworthy team is very important to me and will most definitely help to grow the business. Investors should choose me because in a world filled with so much hate and misfortune, it is imperative that we have safe spaces and are able to surround ourselves with love and great energy. My name is Caira, I am a single, minority woman from Dover, Delaware. I took a chance on life by leaving to join the military. After I got out in 2017, I fumbled to find my purpose. Fast forward to 2021 and I ended up moving to Georgia. My purpose could not be any more clear than what it is now! I have made a huge impact on the city of Atlanta in the short time of being here. I have such a genuine and authentic love for my community and business and it radiates in everything I do for them. I have never in my life been supported by a group of people, especially women, this much until I joined the loc community. The love I receive and give back on a daily basis is unimaginable. We deserve events in Atlanta that are safe and leave one with substance. This is more than just partying. This is a lifestyle. I am committed to making this one of the biggest things to ever happen to the city of Atlanta. I really appreciate your consideration and hope you see the passion in me and this business. Thank you.

Self Identified Competition
N/A There are not many event businesses out there with the same target audience and credibility, this is not a saturated mission/business. Event planning is of course, but our specific community is what makes us so different. The authenticity and energy you can feel from looking at pictures and videos of our events will never be enough to justify the experience. We focus more on us, rather than vendors and pop up shops. Of course we will have vendors in the future, but I have made an intentional decision for the last 4 events to politely decline offers. I have wanted us to focus on us and making those connections first. We are different because we operate as a family.
