Captivated Looks LLC | Application Preview

Captivated Looks LLC is seeking government grants to support its expansion and enhance its services. The funds will be allocated to securing a studio, increasing marketing efforts, enrolling in professional development classes, and investing in higher-quality products for clients.

The company's growth strategy involves opening multiple locations and hiring additional barbers and cosmetologists to broaden its customer base. There is a strong commitment to community outreach, including initiatives like providing free haircuts to homeless individuals and supporting local organizations.

The request for funding emphasizes the current favorable position of the business, suggesting it's an opportune moment for investors to get involved due to the low risk associated with its growth potential. The business maintains a competitive edge by closely observing and learning from competitors while also carving out a unique niche through specialized skills, such as permanent makeup and extensions, alongside traditional services. The owner’s background as an EMT further distinguishes the business, enabling a focus on rejuvenation services for disadvantaged populations.

  • Funding Usage

I am expanding and that is why I need the money. I would use this money to secure my studio while my business is growing. A business needs to advertise in order to get their business out there so a big chunk of that would be to advertise the business. I would use this to take the classes I need to make me the best stylist possible. I would also take this money to buy better products and supplies for my customers instead of using the stuff I could afford at the time.

  • Business Plan

I plan to grow my business by expanding into more than one location. To hire new barbers and cosmetologists to grow my clientele. I plan to have a big enough team to give back to the community through the beauty industry. Putting together free hair cuts for the homeless, hospitals, and other organizations. With the position of the company now and the direction it is going, now would be the best time to take on investors and mentors. The company is relatively new and ready to expand. Investors have a low risk, high position right now.

  • Self Identified Competition

I monitor my top three competitors very closely. If I see a way they can improve, I implement that into my business. Competitions is what drives every business. I believe niche markets are better to be a apart of but more difficult to establish. I am separate from the competition because my core goals are much different that any other professional. I have made it my goal to become skilled in several techniques that set me apart from other salons. Some of these techniques include permanent makeup, extensions, ethnic hair, etc….. By doing this I can offer both the general salon services and the other unique skills that I have attained. My background as an EMT sets me apart from the pack. By applying my experience and expertise to the rejuvenation of the less fortunate it allows me to bring something different to the table. I cannot blend in because I am not the same.
