Saint George Paramotor LLC | Application Preview
Saint George Paramotor LLC is seeking government grants to enhance their operations by acquiring a tandem paramotor and tandem wing, allowing them to offer introductory flights to potential students. The funding will also support the purchase of additional training equipment for their flight school.
With six years of experience, the business aims to grow through word-of-mouth, social media platforms, and community presentations. They often receive inquiries from individuals interested in tandem flights, which are pivotal for helping prospects decide on pursuing further training. By securing this grant, they hope to establish an additional income stream to facilitate their expansion.
While there are numerous competitors in the paramotor sector nationwide, only a few exist in Utah, with Saint George Paramotor being the sole legal flight school in Southern Utah. Their competitive advantage lies in their extensive flight experience, unique training tools like a tow winch that aids in teaching flight and landing skills, and a strong marketing background that ensures effective advertising and outreach.

Funding Usage
We plan to use this funding to purchase a tandem paramotor and tandem wing to expand our business to take prospective students on introductory flights. We also would like the grant to help purchase more equipment for the school such as paramotors and wings for our students to train with as they progress through our flight school.

Business Plan
We plan to grow by word of mouth, social media such as facebook, youtube, instagram and twitter, online marketing, generic google search results, training testimonials through google reviews and presentations throughout the community. We are a small business but have been operating for about 6 years now. We are now to point of expansion but are limited by the lack of funding for new equipment to take prospective students on an introductory flight with tandem equipment. We receive various phone calls throughout the week of people that want to take a tandem flight to see if they like being in the air so they can make a decision to move forward with training. This grant would provide an extra income stream so we can continue growing our business.

Self Identified Competition
There are many competitors in our field from different states but only a handful of competitors in the state of Utah. We are the only legal operating paramotor flight school in the Southern Utah area. What makes us different from our competitors is we have many years of flight experience and knowledge we an offer our students. I personally have been in aviation for most of my adult career. Most paramotor schools do not have a tow winch to tow their students into the air to learn how to fly and land before they put a paramotor on their back and fly on their own. We are fortunate to have a tow winch at our school and it is an incredible training tool to learn how to fly and land before adding the weight of a paramotor. I also have a background in marketing so I am able to utilize my skills to maintain our website and to advertise.
