Sanctuary Games 883442362 | Government Grant Application

Sanctuary Games | Application Preview

Sanctuary Games is applying for government grants to support their business by consolidating debt, covering unexpected expenses, and remodeling the store following a recent rebranding effort. The business aims to relocate to a larger space and expand by opening additional locations.

The team behind Sanctuary Games consists of dedicated individuals who transitioned from employees to owners, motivated by a desire to preserve the community they have fostered. They face competition from local stores like Gamers Guild and Rekreation Games, as well as a new competitor entering the Chandler, Arizona market.

To differentiate themselves, Sanctuary Games emphasizes a welcoming and casual atmosphere, contrasting with the more restrictive environments often found in other game stores. Their strategic location choice in outlet malls adjacent to movie theaters is designed to increase foot traffic, enhancing customer engagement and loyalty, despite higher rental costs. This approach positions them well to attract repeat customers and sustain their business growth.

  • Business Plan

We plan to move to a larger space as well as open other locations. We are a group of hard working individuals that went from employees of the store to owners to try and save the community that we had built

  • Self Identified Competition

We have competition from Gamers Guild and Rekreation Games and a new company is planning to build in the Chandler Arizona area and they are trying to start as a major competitor. All three stores have similar products to us. We strive to have a welcoming and casual vibe to the store where as many other game stores tend to be somewhat closed off. We also have a different approach to locations. Most game stores will be in small shopping centers next to grocery stores because the rent is lower. We on the other hand put ourselves centered in outlet malls near movie theaters to promote foot traffic which makes up for the higher rent expense while giving us the opportunity to create more repeat customers.
