GoalTac 0011919484 | Government Grant Application

GoalTac | Application Preview

GoalTac is seeking government grants to accelerate its development and maintain vital digital infrastructure, including email subscriptions, server and database hosting. The funding will also help outsource feature development, saving significant time in the process.

The business plan outlines GoalTac’s ambitious growth over the next five years, transitioning from a minimum viable product (MVP) to a competitive social media application in the education sector, targeting college students interested in collaborative academic pursuits. By focusing on word-of-mouth and social media marketing, GoalTac will initially attract users from the UConn campus, with plans to expand its target audience over time.

The applicant emphasizes that there is a clear demand for this app, based on discussions with peers at UConn. Despite being a first-time founder, the applicant highlights a strong determination to learn and succeed, believing that their passion for helping others in their academic journeys makes GoalTac a valuable endeavor worthy of investment.

In terms of competition, while some mobile applications have emerged in the productivity social networking space, the applicant identifies specific competitors like More Goal and Elephant Goal, which they perceive as incomplete. GoalTac distinguishes itself by not merely being a task-sharing platform; instead, it aims to connect users in a unique blend of social media and productivity, facilitating genuine collaboration and accountability through shared goals. This innovative approach sets GoalTac apart from existing solutions in the market.

  • Business Plan

In the next five years GoalTac will grow from it's MVP launch in the next coming weeks to a formidable social media application, rivaling established tech giants in my industry. In the short term I plan to continue generating leads across my campus at UConn, and build it through word-of-mouth and social media exposure. The target user of my app is the college student who is searching to work with someone on a specific topic in academics they are interested in. This sort of digital accountability is seen in makeshift communities in big media, but there has not been a successful app that implemented that concept as it's sole mission and purpose. Our target customers will broaden over the next coming years to accommodate different groups and topics. I know it will do well because there is demand for it in many of the students I have spoken to here at UConn's Storrs campus. I am confident in my resourcefulness, discipline and drive, critical thinking, and will to succeed. I am a first time founder, but that should not be overlooked as a weakness. I don't know much, but I want to learn and take as much input from different sources as possible to make the most educated calls throughout my entrepreneurial career. I believe I have an unrivaled ambition, and a like-wise unrivaled passion to support others in their growth. That is why GoalTac is so important to me. I would invest in someone like me if I were an investor. I would be happy to meet in an online call if given the opportunity.

  • Self Identified Competition

There are some mobile applications that had a head start in creating their version of a social networking productivity app. I would not yet consider social media giants like Reddit as competitors, but moreso my specific niche. More Goal and Elephant Goal are two applications that attempt to create their own versions of a social app, but seem unfinished and poorly constructed. I take inspiration from my competitors to learn what works and what does not work. GoalTac is different from it's competitors for two reasons. We are not simply a global task-sharing website like the other competitors in the social networking productivity app space, but an app built upon connecting users as it's sole purpose. You cannot simply treat GoalTac as a task-sharing application because it's not built in that way. It is a true mix between social media and productivity - where in order to use it and find fulfillment in the usage of the app, you must share tasks and find people who share your goals. What sets us apart is our innovative idea to merge a concept, not just add one to the other.
