Dream Art Industries LLC | Application Preview
Dream Art Industries LLC is seeking government funding to support their initiatives in early-stage marketing, product development, hiring, and essential operational tasks like bookkeeping and payroll. The company plans to allocate funds towards establishing their online platform that will serve as a community hub for emerging artists, allowing them to connect, showcase their work, and explore opportunities.
The business aims to launch its website and app soon, starting with a free subscription model. They will gather customer feedback to refine and enhance their offerings, demonstrating a commitment to listening to their community. Initially, all staff, including executives, will receive below-market salaries until the organization reaches a sustainable financial position.
Over the initial years, Dream Art anticipates operating at a loss in the first two years, with a projected surplus by year three. Their focus during this time will be on building a supportive community, driving sales, and enhancing brand visibility.
The founders bring three years of dedication and experience as artists themselves, equipping them with insights into the challenges artists face in establishing successful careers. Dream Art aims to change the narrative around pursuing a creative path, providing a nurturing environment for artists who often encounter obstacles in their journey.
The company differentiates itself by specifically catering to the next generation of artists, positioning themselves as an “artist first” organization. They emphasize support, community, and accessibility, aiming to empower artists to tell their own stories and achieve their creative aspirations.
In the competitive landscape, Dream Art stands out against larger platforms like Behance and Dribbble, which serve more established creatives. The company is devoted to addressing the needs and barriers faced by younger artists, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to thrive in a challenging industry.

Business Plan
In a month, we will be releasing our website/app to the world, an online community for emerging artists to interact, showcase themselves, establish relationships, and find opportunities. We will be launching a free subscription and then plan to make changes and add features based on customer needs and feedback. This is a core value that we plan to stick to, actively listening to customers through 1 on 1's, surveys, and CRM, and making improvements based on this feedback. We understand that it takes a team to build a successful company, so we plan to hire early if our fundraising goals are met. Employees, including executives, will be paid below market rates until we are self-sustaining and can manage break-even or surplus. Our first 3-5 years in business will be focused on building community, driving sales, increasing our brand awareness, and serving others. We expect to have deficits of around $47,000 to $25,000 in years 1 and 2 and to reach a surplus of $175,062 in year 3. This is the price we will pay in order to offer free trials, gain loyal customers, and hire a team that is able to both serve as well as gain more users. We expect this to result in a steady growth of profit through years 4-7. Our founding team has been working for just over 3 years building, planning, and raising the initial startup funds to bring something we believe to be monumental to the world. While getting a college education and my Co-founder working 3 jobs, we've still displayed the tenacity, resilience, and perseverance to get our idea off the ground, make no excuses, and get things done. Our three founders are also artists who have also developed the necessary skill sets to run a company. We have experienced firsthand what it is like to be a young artist in our society and have a clear idea of what is needed to develop and take steps toward success. This is a community and a company built by artists for other artists. Only 10% of art school graduates end up making a living off doing what they are best at. These facts have created a world where pursuing a career as an artist is extremely challenging, and some might even say, impractical. Young people, students, and aspiring artists are often advised to pursue anything but an art-focused career, but our community will provide a safe space for artists to connect and thrive in a world where the odds are often against them. Dream Art is built on the belief that creative careers are a necessity and a driving force within our society. We envision a more practical world for young artists and will work to push the world of arts, culture, and entertainment to become a more accessible industry, where those with creative gifts have the chance to pursue their calling.

We have an artist-first mentality and aim to connect individuals to opportunities that will best serve them and their careers. This is proven through our affordable and competitive pricing, community morals and values, restrictions in place so that artists are protected, and the additional value we add to each form of subscription for our users. We actively research and discover different ways that artists and creators are held back, and make an immense effort to fight against these issues as an organization, and more importantly, as a community. This allows us to edge our focus towards what will truly help and provide for our creative community with our products and services. Dream Art is committed to supporting a diverse community of creatives, serving them in the ways that are most needed, and ultimately allowing them to be the artists of their own narrative. As a creative community, we will together triumph over the boundaries that often hold artists back, and provide the opportunities, community support, connections, and resources needed for young artists to pursue and fight for their creative dreams.
