Mizhan's Market LLC 85-2322375 | Government Grant Application

Mizhan's Market LLC | Application Preview

Mizhan's Market LLC is seeking government funding to support its growth as a health and wellness-focused business. The proposed budget totals $130,755, allocated as follows: $42,000 for building rent/mortgage, $30,000 for equipment, supplies, and inventory, $13,755 for vehicles, $25,000 for insurance, licenses, permits, advertising, marketing, and legal expenses, and $20,000 for operating capital and payroll.

The business plan outlines a five-year strategy that begins with establishing an online presence and aims to achieve $200,000 in revenue in the first year. Subsequent years include expanding product offerings to housewares, clothing, and vending machines stocked with healthy snacks, followed by opening physical locations with membership programs for low-income customers. In Year 5, Mizhan's Market plans to launch an internet channel focused on herbology, cooking, and wellness for all ages.

The application argues for funding approval by emphasizing the long-term vision to create a sustainable health and wellness company rooted in 20 years of industry experience. Mizhan's Market aims to integrate emotional and spiritual health with physical well-being through accessible products.

In a competitive landscape, the business identifies natural skincare companies like Apsara Skin Care, Camille Rose, and Butter Bar Skin Products, but sees greater competition in grocers like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. The company’s competitive edge lies in its commitment to providing affordable, health-oriented products, countering the trend of high-priced luxury items in the organic sector. Additionally, Mizhan's Market plans to donate products to underserved communities, reinforcing its mission of inclusivity in health and wellness.

  • Business Plan

Mizhan's Market started as a special kitchen apothecary with recipes handed down through my maternal and paternal grandmothers. Our goal is to Year 1: Get our website up and running; remain in the black by bringing in 200K for 2021. Year 2: add the housewares and accessories to our roster. Year 3: add clothing, shoes, our vending machines stocked with healthy snacks and personal hygiene accessories, in schools and public locations. Year 4: Open brick and mortar locations that offer discounted membership programs to low income recipients urging them to purchase with us more often. Year 5: Creating an internet channel that teaches herbology, alternative health, complete with a healthy cooking show and possible exercise programs not just for adults but children as well. I believe investors look for programs that are long lasting. My long term company goals are a compendium of the Health and Wellness industry. We plan to utilize my 20+ year knowledge and history in the Health and Wellness industry to our advantage. If your mind and spirit are not healthy, your body will not follow suit. Our plan is to mesh emotional and spiritual awareness with healthy living and healthy food consumption.

  • Self Identified Competition

I believe my top 3 competitors would be Apsara Skin Care, Camille Rose and Butter Bar Skin products. Although these companies only offer skin care, they are the top 3 in our current department of natural skin care. I truly believe that the competitors I would actually have to look out for would be, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Fresh Fields because these companies offer a base of products closer to what my company plans to offer. Our difference comes at a time where harsh chemically based products are widespread and generally utilized by all. Our goal is to continually create products that are based in health and priced for every financial background. These products will also be donated to those who are not able to afford or locate them. We want to be able to give these healthy and organic based products to homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters and halfway homes. Many companies based in the health and organic sector are high priced and marketed as luxury items. We want to make our products , based in and with the same philosophies available to everyone.
