Esteram Meadery | Application Preview
Esteram Meadery is applying for a government grant totaling $20,000 to support its growth and operational needs. The funding will cover costs such as a Farm Winery Permit, a Vendor's Permit, and several pieces of equipment including a VCT Conical bottom tank, an agitator, a bottle filler, a corker, a wine filter, and a peristaltic pump. Additionally, they have allocated funds for general expenses.
The meadery aims to reinvest profits back into the business to expand its operations and contribute to the community, including supporting local apiaries. Their business plan includes participating in local events and creating charitable initiatives, such as business scholarships and educational programs. They envision expanding their market beyond Indiana to surrounding states within five years.
Esteram Meadery emphasizes its commitment to environmental conservation and aims to differentiate itself by offering a diverse range of mead flavors, including sweet, dry, savory, and spicy options. The competitive landscape features established players like Groenfell Meadery, All-Wise Meadery, and Big Lost Meadery, each with limited geographical reach and product variety. Esteram believes its presence in the Midwest, which currently has few meaderies, and its innovative flavor offerings will provide a significant competitive advantage.

We will also not stop in just Indiana, we plan to sell in several surrounding states in the next five years. We plan to be not only outspoken on our push for environmental conservation, but we also want to be active in it. Investing time and financial resources into improving the area around us. We plan to bring a new spin to the meadery by offering an array of different flavors, that range from sweet to dry, savory and spicy.
