Food X 3, LLC dba Maria's Bakery Maria's Bakery | Government Grant Application

Food X 3, LLC dba Maria's Bakery | Application Preview

Food X 3, LLC, operating as Maria's Bakery, is seeking government grant funding to recover from the recent relocation of the bakery, which resulted in the loss of equipment, ingredients, and pre-made products due to time constraints. The funds will be allocated to replace necessary equipment, prepare the new location for opening, cover payroll, and support advertising initiatives.

The business plan includes increased advertising efforts and the introduction of a line of non-sweet items to cater to the lunch and late afternoon crowd, capitalizing on the nearby businesses that are eager for these offerings.

The bakery, established in 2018 and previously located in the area for over 25 years, aims to stand out amidst the growing number of bakery closures driven by high costs and competition from big-box stores. Maria's Bakery intends to maintain its community-focused approach by delivering fresh, on-site baked goods and building relationships with local customers. They also aspire to expand delivery services and partnerships with party halls and country clubs, which necessitates capital investment.

In a competitive landscape with grocery stores and other bakeries dwindling, Maria's Bakery's competitive edge lies in its commitment to freshness and customer experience, treating every customer like family and striving to exceed their expectations. The funding will be crucial for achieving these goals and ensuring the bakery's success in the new location.

  • Funding Usage

I just had to move the bakery and lost a lot of my equipment due to time constraints. We also lost a lot of ingredients and already made bakery products due to time constraints and the loss of freezer and fridge. (No where to put) donated out as much as I could. I will use it to get the needed, equipment, get the new location ready to open, payroll and advertising.

  • Business Plan

I plan to do a lot of advertising that I did not do before, also add a line of non sweet items for a lunch and late afternoon crowd. There are a lot of businesses near the new location. We went around to some of them and they are very excited that we are moving in and going to offer these. I bought this neighborhood bakery in 2018 before Covid. It has been at the old location for over 25 years. We get a lot of people from all over. Bakeries are closing everyday due to high costs and big box stores offering cheaper baked goods. But there are many people that still want to go to the neighborhood bakery and get fresh goods. I want to be that bakery. I also want to expand back to be able to deliver and work with party halls and country clubs. I can not do these things without capital.

  • Self Identified Competition

Grocery stores and BJs. There are only a few bakeries left around my area. All my goods are baked on site and are fresh. Every customer that comes in is treated like family. I strive to work with my customers to make them happy and have a great experience once they walk in. I also go above and beyond for customers whenever possible, which is a lot of times.
