Nourishing Notions, LLC is seeking government grants to support its growth and expansion. The requested funding will be allocated for several key areas:
1. **Administrative Support**: Hiring an administrative assistant for 16 hours weekly at $25 per hour to handle patient calls, registrations, benefit checks, reminders, and supply orders, amounting to $20,800.
2. **Graphic Design**: Engaging a graphic designer to create educational materials that align with the company’s brand, costing $15,000.
3. **Office Space**: Renting a new office space, currently being operated from home, at an estimated $24,000.
4. **Office Equipment**: Purchasing necessary equipment like a laptop, monitor, and printer for $2,500.
The business aims to increase its patient capacity from 60 per month to 120, which would raise annual gross income from $72,000 to $144,000. A long-term vision includes expanding to four registered dietitian/nutritionists and achieving $350,000 in annual revenue within five years.
The funding rationale emphasizes the vital role of registered dietitians in addressing chronic health issues such as Type 2 diabetes and obesity, presenting their services as a cost-effective alternative to conventional therapies. To further enhance community impact, the business plans to offer supermarket tours, health fairs, and educational programming in schools.
Despite competition from established programs like Weight Watchers and Nutrisystem, the founder brings over 30 years of diverse experience in dietetics, which strengthens their communication and service delivery. The mission centers on making nutritional care accessible to all, prioritizing education and community engagement over profit. With financial support, there is potential to create healthier food environments across various community settings.

Business Plan
I am on track to see 60 patients per month which will equal a gross monthy income of $6,000/month. IF I can move my practice to an office space that can accommodate more staff and patients. I would like to hire at least one more registered dietitian/nutritionist to increase capacity to see at least 120 patients per month to gross $144,000 annually. In five years I would expect to have increased staff to 4 RDN's under my supervision and gross $350,000 annually Registered dietitians like myself are uniquely qualified to address and reverse many of the chronic illnesses American's suffer from including Type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal diseases and eating disorders. And our therapies are relatively inexpensive compared to traditional therapies. The US healthcare system is slowly moving towards embracing patient centered care that puts the patient in charge of their health but citizens need access to sound nutrition advice that can only be provided by qualified healthcare professionals like Registered Dietitian/Nutritionists. I would like to expand my services from one on one individual sessions to include supermarket tours, healthfairs at churches and senior centers. I'd also like to develop a curriculum for schools to teach children how to cook and how to make smart food choices.

Self Identified Competition
Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, Noom I have over 30 years of experience in dietetics in varied settings including long term care, children's hospital - inpatient and outpatient, physician's private practice and medical device sales and training. With this experience I have honed a unique way of communicating to my clients that is easy to understand and implement and I have the data to back it up. My goal is to provide affordable nutrition care and therapy to everyone, not just those with good health insurance. Nutrition should be taught in schools, in churches and community centers and wherever our citizens gather and I see numerous opportunities to do that with financial backing. So rather than create a program to make money, my mission is to help educate and promote healthier food environments for everyone.
