Art Craft Studios Ltd. | Application Preview
Art Craft Studios Ltd. is seeking government grants to support various initiatives, including developing a dedicated website, purchasing arts and crafts supplies, hiring instructors, covering legal and management expenses, and funding travel. The business plan includes a comprehensive outreach campaign targeting schools across the U.S. lacking visual arts programs, as well as cultural arts departments, to promote their services and secure contracts.
In the second phase, ACS aims to partner with clothing stores in tourist-heavy areas to sell handmade goods and collaborate with nursing homes, funeral homes, and churches to provide art therapy sessions. Grant applications and local media appearances are also prioritized to increase visibility and support.
The reason for funding approval lies in ACS's focus on entrepreneurship education and strong community ties, having already secured contracts for classes from institutions like the City of Savannah and local nonprofits. The market analysis indicates a growing demand for after-school programs and quality programming for the elderly.
While facing competition from organizations like the YMCA and municipal arts programs, ACS stands out by teaching participants the entrepreneurial aspects of arts and crafts, ensuring a sustainable business model that reduces dependency on grants and fosters creativity and revenue generation.

Business Plan
After developing a website to meet our needs, I will launch an email and phone outreach campaign to every school in America without a visual arts program. This campaign will also extend to cultural arts departments in those cities to hopefully secure city contracts. I will send links to our site as well as promotional videos and a Calendly link so that education leaders can have a Zoom demo of our program. Phase two of my plan involves reaching out to clothing stores in highly populated tourist areas to arrange to have them carry our handmade merchandise. I also plan to partner with local nursing homes, funeral homes and churches to help bring art therapy to their clients and congregations. Obviously more grant applications are going to be a priority, as well as interviews and and appearances on local television stations. I've already laid much of the groundwork by fostering relationships with various institutions in Savannah and Macon, Georgia. ACS is worth your investment because our main focus is entrepreneurship education and I have the support of my community. I have already been contracted for several classes and workshops throughout Georgia. I've been hired by the City of Savannah, the Jepson Center at Telfair Museums, as well as small community based nonprofit organizations like Loopitup and the 567 Gallery. Art Craft Studios is unique! There are little to no competitors in my region offering similar services. Market analysis has shown a high demand for after school/childcare programs. Our rapidly growing elderly population is also in need of quality programming at nursing facilities, retirement communities, churches and community centers. Another reason for your support is our business model. Many such programs are solely dependent on grants and donations, so when the grants and donations slow down the organization suffers financially. ACS avoids total dependency on grants and donations by selling crafts participants make, and keeping a portion of the earnings.

Self Identified Competition
The YMCA, Loopitup Savannah, the Museum of Arts and Science in Macon, and municipal arts programs are the closest competitors but non of them offer exactly what ACS offers. ACS doesn't just make pretty pictures for kids to take home and throw away, like most after school arts programs. We teach participants the value of their craft by showing them how to generate revenue. Every aspect of our organization encourages participants of all ages to be an entrepreneur or at least think like one.
