Whisper Wind Farm, LLC | Application Preview
Whisper Wind Farm, LLC is applying for government grants to fund the purchase of essential farming equipment, including a tractor, stock trailer, hay processing tools, fencing, greenhouses, and livestock.
The business plans to market directly to local customers through social media, personal visits, and word-of-mouth, and already has a waiting list for products. The applicant, a 26-year active duty service member close to retirement, identifies a strong local market for natural, pasture-raised beef, chicken, and pork. With 125 acres of unused land and a background in farming, the applicant is well-equipped to scale up operations and provide healthier food options to the community.
Currently, local competition mainly consists of large-scale grain producers, with few offering pasture-raised products. Whisper Wind Farm's competitive edge lies in its free-range practices, which produce leaner and healthier meat compared to conventional livestock farming in the area.

Business Plan
I intend to direct market to local customers by advertisement through social media, face to face visits and word of mouth. Already have some customers on wait lists for products to come available. I am 26 year active duty service member soon to retire and believe there is a market and desire for natural, pasture raised beef, chicken and pork. My farm consist of 125 acres not being utilized. Having been raised on own on products, I have the ability and know how to take this to a larger scale operation that will provide a healthy product to those seeking healthier options in my local area.

Self Identified Competition
Other than local retail businesses no one is providing this type of product in my local area. The majority of farmers in my area are large scale grain producers. No one in my area is utilizing the practices of free range pasture raised beef or chickens. Anyone who has livestock are using grain or silage to feed their livestock, therefor resulting in a product that isn't as lean or healthy to the end user.
