Caring Hands Medical Transportation LLC L15000174827 | Government Grant Application

Caring Hands Medical Transportation LLC | Application Preview

Caring Hands Medical Transportation LLC is seeking government funding between $50,000 and $100,000 to revive and expand its operations in response to the growing demand for non-emergency medical transportation, particularly for the elderly population in Osceola County and beyond. The funding will be utilized for insurance payments, cash flow support, and loan repayments.

The business plans to enhance its fleet by purchasing additional vehicles, increasing advertising to attract private clients, and securing hospital contracts. Caring Hands is well-positioned in the market, as there are few providers capable of delivering specialized services such as wheelchair and stretcher transportation. The company already has established contracts with major insurance providers, and there is a consistent need for their services, given the rising number of individuals requiring medical transportation.

The owners, a husband and wife team, bring over seven years of experience and strong relationships with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and the community. They founded the business out of a desire to address the transportation challenges faced by individuals needing essential healthcare services. Alongside their business pursuits, they actively volunteer and partner with local organizations to support vulnerable populations.

While competition exists, the unique service offerings and community-focused approach of Caring Hands set it apart. The funds would enable them to overcome the financial setbacks caused by the pandemic, natural disasters, and rising costs, ultimately allowing them to continue providing critical services to their community.

  • Business Plan

The elderly population keep increasing in our area creating more demand. We have vehicles ready to work but we also need to buy more vehicles, we plan to advertise more so we can get private paid clients as well as hospital contracts. We also have the opportunity becasue there is need to expando to multiple counties in Florida. We are a company that provides a services that is in great need in our area. There is no many companies and not other company with as many vehicles equipt to transport clients by wheelchair or stretcher transportation as Caring Hands Medical Transportation LLC in Osceola county. We have contracts, clients in urgent need of our services, equipement, employees, insurace company brokers struggling to find coverage in our area for life sustaining medical appointments. We have made mistakes over the last 7 years but have learn from them and we need an opportunuty to get back on our feet after being affected financially by corona virus, late payments to our company, hurricaines, inflation, shark loans etc. Our community need us and we can be of help for our community. We have everything ready to go except the money to start again. If we can get funding between $50,000- $100.000 we can work our self back up, pay our loans and keep growing as we go. Of course the greater the amount the greater the opportunites for growth.

  • Self Identified Competition

There is other companies that provide non emergency medical transportation in our area but I would not called them competitors as the need for non emergency medical transportation that provides wheelchair and stretcher transportation is greater than the competion and there is plenty of opportunities and need to expand to others counties. Other companies don't have the contracts, relationship and request for trips from insurace companies like United Healthcare, Sunshine healthcare, AETNA, we are contracted with all major insurances and have hundreds of trips that need our services. We have been in business for over 7 years, we have stablish great relationships with insurances, healthcare providers, nursing homes, clients. Caring Hands is a husband and wife owned business that started becasue while working at Davita Dialysis our patients were missing life sustaining dialysis treatments for lack of transportation. We left the comfort and security that our job at Davita Dialysis provided to start a business to help the disable community. We are a christian couple who sees our business as a ministry. We know the business not only from our business point of view but also from the healthcare provider point of view and recently as a caregiver for my mother in law we learned the business from the client point of view. We have always put the clients need first, we are an assest to our community as we also volunteer with meals on wheels to bring food to the elderly, disable population and the homeless. We partnered with Osceola Council on Aging to provide transportation to the elderly and disable population displaced by Hurricaines to hotels, to temporaty housing and to daycare or other activities. We partnered with nursing homes in Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Hillsborough, Pinellas and other counties to transport their residents during Hurricaine evacutations. We are not shark business people we truly care for our community, we see a need and want to help.
