Big Iron BBQ INC. is applying for government grants to purchase and outfit a food truck. The business focuses on providing affordable meals, with burgers and fries priced at just eight dollars. The plan includes effective advertising on Facebook and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

The applicant, a 100% disabled veteran, emphasizes a heartfelt mission to support fellow veterans. The goal is to offer free meals to veterans and create job opportunities for those facing challenges in reintegration. By fostering a military-like culture, the business aims to make veterans feel at home, with a vision of employing veterans exclusively in future food trucks and restaurants.

The competition includes Sonny's BBQ, known for its subpar food; David's BBQ, which offers tasty but bland options; and Relish, a burger bar criticized for greasy offerings. • Business Plan

I plan on growing my business by advertising through facebook and providing quality customer service. I offer food for a lower rate than almost anyone on the market. 8 dollars for a burger and fries. I am a 100% disabled veteran who wants to help out other veterans. I will always feed a veteran for free no questions ask and I want to be able to provide jobs and stability for veterans who are having a hard time reintegrating. I want to create a culture similar to the military so veterans feel comfortable. In my perfect world all my food trucks and restaurants will aim to exclusively employ veterans and try to cater to veterans of all eras. I want my restaurants to embody gratitude towards veterans.

  • Self Identified Competition

Sonny's BBQ, They are a barbecue chain that provides suboptimal food. David's BBQ, Their food is good but bland. Relish, They are a build your own burger bar but their burgers are greasy and gross. My business is different because it is focused around rehabilitating veterans into society. The other barbecue restaurants in my area are all about money and care little for the vets. I take inspiration from Mission BBQ but I want to be better for them.
