Golden Hannya LLC is seeking government grants to fund the expansion of its tattoo business into a larger, more visible location in downtown Tucson, Arizona. The grant will be allocated for various purposes, including renovations of the new space, signage, settling a previous landlord's contract, securing a new lease, advertising to attract employees, and improving the security system.
The business plan outlines a vision for the next five years focused on building relationships within the local community to enhance customer appeal. Golden Hannya aims to offer a unique tattoo shop experience that caters to both walk-in customers and those booking appointments for larger pieces. The shop will prioritize cleanliness and create a welcoming atmosphere for all clients, ensuring that no one feels intimidated.
The owner emphasizes their motivation and commitment to quality, claiming a passion for overcoming negative perceptions associated with tattoo shops. The goal is to build a business that fosters happy artists and delighted customers, highlighting that successful tattoo shops can positively impact nearby businesses by attracting clientele to the area.

Business Plan
Over the next 5 years I plan to familiarize myself with the surrounding community to increase clientele. I believe that small business should support fellow small businesses; when this happens everybody wins. I plan to present the downtown area with a unique tattoo shop experience. This shop will welcome not only walk-in clientele, but also appointment based bookings for larger or more private pieces. The space will be curated to welcoming all types of clientele. The shop will maintain cleanliness, as well as an open and welcoming atmosphere. A tattoo shop that potential clients will not feel intimidated to enter. Personally speaking; I am a very motivated and focused worker. Once I set my mind to a goal there is little that will get in my way. I have dreamed of owning a shop of my own since I first started tattooing 10 years ago. I've always had a distaste for these "low brow" type of shops that can tend to turn people away from the tattoo experience. I wish to create a business that thrives with happy tattooers and satisfied and ecstatic customers. Tattooing has been a part of human history for thousands of years, it isn't going anywhere anytime soon. This business is here to stay-especially when quality of work and respect of clientele remains paramount. Also; customers that visit these shops often patronize surrounding businesses other before or after their visit. Restaurants, bars, shoppes, all benefit from our clients.

Self Identified Competition
Nearest is Istari Tattoo; this is more of a boutique tattoo shop-appointment only. Sacred Art probably holds the most business (with at least 3 locations I know about); they model the traditional "walk-in" style tattoo shop. Black Rose would be next; also primarily an appointment based tattoo shop. What sets me apart from the other shops in town is my work ethic and desire to create a space that any client would want to visit. There will be no "cool kids club" vibe here. Whether it's your first tattoo or if you're a tattoo veteran-you will feel welcome in my shop.
