Chuck’s Roving RV Service, LLC 4985124 | Government Grant Application

Chuck’s Roving RV Service, LLC | Application Preview

Chuck’s Roving RV Service, LLC is seeking government grant funding to pursue certification courses in RV inspection and solar technology from the National RV Training Academy. These certifications are essential for expanding the business and increasing revenue, which would enable the owner to lease a workshop in Maineville, OH, and hire and train RV technicians.

The rationale for funding is based on the need for certified RV repair services, with a focus on two key areas that will immediately benefit the business and the community. The owner aims to improve the safety and reliability of RVs, thereby reducing warranty issues and accident risks associated with faulty equipment. Moreover, gaining solar certification will enable the service to install and maintain solar systems on RVs, promoting energy efficiency and supporting the electrical grid.

Currently, there is a significant shortage of qualified RV technicians, with one technician for every 10,000 RVs in the U.S., meaning that the owner's primary competition will be self-improvement and ensuring high-quality service. To differentiate itself, the business emphasizes building strong customer relationships that lead to referrals. Additionally, there are plans in the future to offer grants to high school graduates and veterans interested in pursuing careers in RV services.

  • Business Plan

This grant used for obtaining certification will allow me to grow my business by increasing revenue. The increase in revenue will give me the opportunity to lease workshops space in Maineville,OH. Also, I will be able to hire and train RV technicians. RV (recreational vehicle) repair services is a wide open field, however, it is necessary to obtain certifications in up to eight areas of service and repair. I have identified 2 certifications that will have an immediate impact on my business and community. I am requesting funds to complete certifications in RV solar and RV inspection. Using this grant will offer me the opportunity to grow my business and hire and train employees. Additionally, it is my plan, when I can afford it, to offer grants to high school graduates and veterans to enter the field of RV services. Further, this education will allow me to have an impact by ensuring potential owners of new and used RVs are purchasing safe and sound equipment, thus reducing warranty work, expense repairs, and reduced accidents caused by faulty equipment. Also, a solar certification will allow me to install, maintain, and repair solar equipment on RVs , reducing the pressure on the electrical grid.

  • Self Identified Competition

At this time there is one RV technician for every 10,000 RVs in the USA as estimated by the RV Technician Association of America. So the only real competition I have is with myself and ensuring I am qualified and able to offer quality service. Since the field is wide open I strive to build lasting relationships with my customers. This drives business to me through referrals
